A: Mail
header analysis & keyword checking - Intelligently
analyzes the email header and identifies SPAM based
on message field information. It detects forged headers,
SPAM mutation, SPAM sent from invalid domains, and more.
In addition to mail header analysis, keywords are used
to check for SPAM using the keyword SPAM database.
3rd party DNS blacklists (DNSBL) checking
- Third party DNS blacklists (real time black hole lists),
which are databases of known spammers. If the sending
mail server is on one of those lists, it marks the email
as SPAM.
Heuristics - based anomaly detection
which identifies patterns of SPAM propagation in the
overall message flow, and our rule creator, which generates
new rules based on user-submitted SPAM. All user submitted
SPAM is automatically sent to our servers without the
need for the user to send emails to us, thus automating
the system and creating an efficient filtering engine
without time spent from the user side.
